Mid-Autumns'oringin中秋节的由来
TheMid-AutumnFestivalisatraditionalfestivity（节日）forboththeHanandminoritynationalities.Thecustomofworshipping（崇拜）themoon(calledxiyueinChinesecanbetracedbackasfarastheancientXiaandShangDynasties(2000B.C.-1066B.C..IntheZhouDynasty(1066B.C.-221B.C.,peopleholdceremoniestogreetwinterandworshipthemoonwhenevertheMid-AutumnFestivalsetsin.Itbecomesveryprevalent（普遍的）intheTangDynasty(618-907A.D.thatpeopleenjoyandworshipthefullmoon.IntheSouthernSongDynasty(1127-1279A.D.,however,peoplesendroundmooncakestotheirrelativesasgiftsinexpressionoftheirbestwishesoffamilyreunion.Whenitbecomesdark,theylookupatthefullsilvermoonorgosightseeingonlakestocelebratethefestival.So,thisistheoriginofMid-Autumn.

Therefore,afewdaysbeforethefestival,everyoneinthefamilywillhelptomakethehousecleanandbeautiful.Lanterns（灯笼）willbehunginfrontofthehouse.
Ontheeveningtherewillbeabigfamilydinner.Peoplewhoworkfarawayfromtheirhomeswilltrytocomebackfortheunion.Afterdinner,peoplewilllightthelanternswhichareusuallyredandround.Childrenwillplaywiththeirowntoylanternshappily.
AtnightPeoplecanenjoythemoonwhileeatingmoon-cakeswhicharethespecialfoodforthisfestival.Theycanlookbackonthepastandlookforwardtothefuturetogether.Itissaidthattherewasadragon（龙）inthesky.Thedragonwantedtoswallow（咽）upthemoon.toprotectthefrightenaway
However,thecustomofplayingunderthemoonisnotsopopularasitusedtobenowadays,butitisnotlesspopulartoenjoythebrightsilvermoon.Wheneverthefestivalsetsin,peoplewilllookupatthefullsilvermoon,drinkingwinetocelebratetheirhappylifeorthinkingoftheirrelativesandfriendsfarfromhome,andextendingalloftheirbestwishestothem
