C:Hi,my name is Christ ,and today ‘s lesson is about meetings.It’s an elementary level lesson.So we’re going to follow a meeting.Well,David is leading the meeting,but nobody else is speaking,and he wants to know what do they think.So he uses lots of phrases to ask people to get their opinions,to get them speak about the .In the studio with me are David and Christie.

C:Hello.

Ch:How are you doing.

D:Good morning.

C:And we are going to listen to dialogue that includes David,myself,Christie and Colin as we have a meeting is a part of meeting.Okay.The meeting is about training.So guys,can you help me what is training.”

Ch:In this case ,it means at work training or learning to do sth work .

C:Yeah,so you might get some training when you begin your new job.or when you need a new skill,you need to know how to do sth.Maybe sth with computers.So trainging is really like learning or teaching.It depends how you use it.So let’s listen to the meeting.Okay?

D:So,the suggestion is they will buy five new computers this month,and then five more new computers next month.Training will strat in dec.Colin,what do you think?

Cl:I think it will be better to buy ten computers this month,and start training in nov.

D:We haven’t heard from Christie yet.What is your thought?

Ch:I agree with Colin.It’s much better to buy all the computers this month.

D:Christ,you are the training manager,would you like to add anything?

C:No.If you want the training to start in nov,that would be fine.we'll ready to begin training when the computers are here.

D:Ok,are the any more comments?Right,that’s good.Let’s move on to the next item.

C:All right,so in that meeting,David really did a good job at getting everybody to speak a little bit.Let’s go over the language use to ask us to speak up.

D:Well,one thing I said was,what do you think?this is a good way to ask a group of people for their opinion.

C:Right,so you can ask that a group,if you want to know one person what their opinion is,what would you say?You could just put their name on there,right?

D:Like Colin,what do you think?

C:Uh-huh,or you say what do you think,Colin?Ok.what are the others that you used?

D:Well,I said we haven’t heard from you yet.

C:Uh-huh.You haven’t said anything.

D:Uh-huh.Yeah.It seems that we like to hear what you have to say.

C:So if somebody is quiet,sitting in the corner of the meeting and not speaking,this is good one to ask them.

D:Right,to hear from someone is like to get their opinion.it’s not like you can hear them but you haven’t heard from them.

C:They haven’t said anything to be heard,yeah?

D:Uh-huh.Another good general one is what are your thoughts?

C:What do you think,right?

D:Uh-huh.Would you like to add anything?

C:Uh-huh.So maybe someone has already spoken or I’ve said sth but you want Christie to give more maybe information or thoughts about that subject,right?

D:Exactly.

C:Ok,so we’ve got four good there.Let’s repeat each one.So David can you say them one more time?

D:What do you think?We haven’t heard from you yet?What are your thoughts?Would you like to add anything?

C:So now any other difficult language in this part case,Christie why don’t know I ask you for sth maybe you’ve already asked everybody for what they think but you still want to know other more things to say?

Ch:Right,you can also say are there any more comments?

C:Right.anymore comments?Does anyone have anything else to say.But yeah,so David said are there anymore comments in this dialogue.Great,good,I think we need to listen to it one more time and listen for David using these phrases these expressions to get everybody to say sth more to speak more at the meeting to .
