Ａ：Good morning. I'm Lydia Shen, the manager of the company. What's your name please?

Ａ：How do you do, Penny? Well, for this job, we need people to work hard. Do you think you're suitable for this kind of job?

　　该介绍自己了，那么在面试中怎么做自我介绍呢？先来看一些背景知识：

Background:

　　面试时需要做自我介绍，这个时候不要细致地谈自己的生活情况或者工作经验，而是要想方设法地让面试官对你有所了解，告诉他一些事情，这些事情应该使你在招聘过程中具有优势。或许你想选取一些有人情味的故事讲给他听，但这么做，你要有把握与面试官的想法吻合。或者可以概述一下最近你干的工作和你正在申请的工作有什么联系，有怎样的帮助，以及你为什么要到这家公司工作等等。特别值得提的是，要举例子，这样你的回答才更具真实性，更容易被接受，才能给对方留下深刻的印象。

　　或者当面试官让你做自我介绍的时候，你可以主动问一下对方想知道自己哪方面的情况，这样也便于你的回答更加有针对性。但是这种做法的前提是你对面前的这个面试官有一定的把握，确信这样追问不会引起对方的反感才行。

　　有了这些背景知识，我们再掌握一些基本的单词和常用的句型来帮助我们理解对方的话和组织语言表达清楚自己的意思就足够了：

今天我们来讲第一讲 面试开场白。面试时总要说上那么几句，一般去了面试的公司以后，里面的接待人员都会主动问一些问题，先来看看下面这个对话吧：

A： Can I help you? 有什么事吗？

B： Yes. I've come to apply for the posion as an office secretary. 是的我是来一职的。

A： I'm Smith, the clerk of Human Resources Department. What's your name? 我是史密斯，人力资源部秘书。你叫什么名字？

B： My name is Wang Fang. Mr. Smith, how do you do? 我叫王芳，史密斯先生，您好。

Background:

面试是一种精心，以交谈和观察为主要手段，以了解被试者素质及有关信息为目的的一种测评方式。

面试就是你与面试官面对面的一种交流，更是你施展才能与特点的好时机，即要让他们了解你，还要让他们相信你才是最理想的人选。与此同时，也是你认识，揣测与了解你面前的主考官的时候，而他很有可能就是你即将的上司或老板。

面试的总目标就是给对方一个好印象，那么你就要预先作好充分准备，通过各种方法去了解所面试公司单位的一些基本情况，猜测可能会被问到的问题，这样回答时思路就会比较清晰，有针对性。

A： I will stay as long as I can continue to learn and to grow in my field. (只要我能在我的行业力继续学习和长进，我就会留在这里。)

Q：Could you project what you would like to be doing five years from now？(你能预料五年后你会做什么吗？)

A：As I have some administrative experience in my last job, I may use my organizational and planning skills in the future.

(我在上一个工作中积累了一些行政经验，我将来也许要运用我组织和计划上的经验和技巧。)

A：I hope to demonstrate my ability and talents in my field adequately. (我希望能充分展示我在这个行业的能力和智慧。)

A：Perhaps, an opportunity at a management position would be exciting.(也许有机会，我将会从事管理工作。)

如果不愿正面回答，也可以说：

It would be premature for me to predict this. (现在对此问题的预测，尚嫌过早。)

甚至还可以打趣的说：

Hypothetically speaking, I might be able to do your current job as a director.(或 CEO 或 president）((说不定，我也能做你现在主任的工作呢！)

Q： What range of pay-scale are you interested in？(你喜欢那一种薪水层次标准？)

A： Money is important, but the responsibility that goes along with this job is what interests me the most. (薪水固然重要，但这工作伴随而来的责任更吸引我。)

A： 假如你有家眷，可以说：

To be frank and open with you, I like this job, but I have a family to support. (坦白地说，我喜欢这份工作，不过我必须要负担我的家庭。)

大都第一印象很重要。 美国人虽然很讲效益，但和人第一次见面时，往往会先问一些无关紧要的问题。这叫做"Breaking the ice"（establish a rapport ）。

The interviewer might ask you something like: 

面试时也一样。一见面：

"How are you today?"

"Did you have any trouble finding this place?"

"How did you get here?"... 

　　你不要为"interviewer" 那么友好的问话和语调感到吃惊。The interviewer wants to put you at ease (help you relax). So you just answer the question whout going into too much detail. 

The most important part最重要的:

　　面试时，最重要的部分是谈你的"experience and qualifications". 所以当interviewer和你寒暄时，你可不要扯远了。

Qualifications： include your education from High School on and any special training you may have done in the past.

Experience is any work that you have done that is directly or indirectly related to the job you are applying for. 

Talk about your education谈你接受的:

　　因为你要谈的教育发生在过去，所以记住了要use past tenses. For example:

"I attended the University of New York from 1992 to 1996."

"I graduated with a degree in social science"...

如果你目前还是个学生，那么应该使用present tenses: For example:

"I am currently studying at the University of New York and will graduate with a degree in computer science in this fall."

or "I am studying English at City College of New York."... 

　　当谈你受的教育时，可别忘了提起你参加过的，得到过的证书和选过的一些和这份工作有关的。譬如computer training, correspondence courses, CCNP Certificate等等。

　　因为英语不是你的母语，而你的工作要求你会英语，那么你还得特别提到你的英语娴熟程度或告诉对方你是如何在这方面做努力的。
