After Europeans arrived, different ethnic groups lived in harmony. You can go skiing and windsurfing in the same day. Vancouver is also attractive to people from all parts of Asia. Here restaurants mix many global cuisines and therefore mix many nations into one city. There are many different ethnic groups in the city and Chinatown is the third biggest in the world. Chinatown is situated around the Chinese Cultural Centre with the first full-scale classical Chinese garden ever built outside China. So Vancouver is one of the most culturally and racially diverse cities in Canada and the world.
