My investigation is about telescope, a type of important optical instrument. I am an astronomy, I really find it interesting I am curious about the mysteries held by the universe. That is why I choose this topic. Optical telescopes are instruments designed to collect some form of electromagnetic radiation. They are made from glass, lens and mirror sometimes to gather the light to the focal point. They are classified in three different forms. 
The refracting telescope which uses lenses to form an image. 
The reflecting telescope which uses an arrangement of mirrors to form an image. 
The catadioptric telescope which uses mirrors combined with lenses to form an image.①
The earliest telescope is a refracting telescope which was invented in Netherlands in 1608. In the later years, the advantages of using reflecting mirror led to the build of Newtonian reflector, the first reflecting telescope.

When the light comes to the concave primary mirror, it is reflected to the secondary mirror, then the light is brought to the focal point and can be seen. Hubble has already sent thousands of pictures to Earth. It helps humans to see farther and deeper. I believe that we will invent more and more high quality telescopes to help us discover the universe mysteries.
