You give them an offer and explain why the offer is this and other conditions This is the first time for you to contact this company.

2. You have received an order for goods for US$8,000 from a new customer, Johnson Smith & Bros, 311 Ocean Centre, Canton Road, Kowloon Hong Kong. As you know nothing about them, write a letter to your own bank asking for information.

We offer you firm on CIF Vancouver basis, September shipment, payment by irrevocable L/C to reach us one month before the time of shipment. This offer is subject to your reply reaching us before July 30.

Enclosed is our price list. We allow a discount of 5% if your order exceeds US $ 5,000. We have quoted our best prices and are unable to entertain any counter offer. 

There has been a heavy demand for our turbine because of the fine quality, attractive designs and reasonable prices. We are sure you will find a ready market for our product.
