T: Yes, it’s the Spring Festival.

Teach“Spring Festival”.festival—fes-ti-val, 分音节教授。

2. Say something about the Spring Festival

T: The Spring Festival is an important festival in China. Do you like the Spring Festival?

Ss: Yes.

T: But why? Can you tell me something about the Spring Festival? When’s the Spring Festival?

S1: It’s on the 1st day of the first lunar month. It’s in January or February.

T: Can you say something about the Spring Festival?

4. The dialogue

(1) 引入课文学习，快速阅读A部分，了解文章大意。

T: Different people have different ways to celebrate the Sprung Festival. Now please read Part A and answer the questions; What’s Mrs Zhang doing? Who enjoys the Spring Festival most?

(2) 教授单词：relative, enjoy.通过上面的问题引出新单词relative, enjoy.

1 Teach: relative—re-la-tive

T: The word“relatives”means your parents, uncle, uncle, aunt, cousin, grandmother and so on. It means…?

Ss:(引导学生说出答案)It means 亲戚！

2 Teach: enjoy

T: Who enjoys the Spring Festival most?

Ss: Children enjoy the Spring Festival most.

(3) 再次分组阅读课文，讨论合作完成下列任务。

1 Discuss how Mrs Zhang’s family celebrates the Spring Festival.阅读前给出学法指导，找出文章中的关键的动词。

【教学反思】

小学英语教学是要重视培养兴趣，但单靠唱歌游戏不能培养学生持久的兴趣。新鲜劲儿一过，孩子们就会厌倦。所以，唱歌游戏应该作为小学生学习英语语言知识、技能的一些手段，而不是培养兴趣的手段。我们可以采用多种手段帮助小学生在记忆力强的时期多记单词，多学习语言规则，并尽可能多创造模仿的机会，提高学生的语音和语调。在英语学习中，听、说、读、写、译五种能力是可以互补的。真正做到听说先行，读写跟上。光听说不读写，很难收到高效。只靠模仿不培养学习能力，也难减轻学习负担。所以小学生还是应当认真进行语言学习。
