How to Use Computers

　　How to Use Computers

　　Computers are becoming more and more useful in our everyday life. It’s very important for us to learn how to use the computer. Now， I’ll give you some advices① about using computers.

　　First， the Internet is playing an important part in our life. On the Internet， we can learn news both at home and abroad. We can also send messages by e-mail， read all kinds of books and learn foreign languages by ourselves. Except② we can enjoy music， watch sports matches and play games. We can do shopping， book tickets for the train or the plane and so on. In a word， the Internet has made our life more colourful.

　　Second， try not to waste much time on computer games. It’s bad for our eyes and we should spend more time on③ studying.

　　Computers are very useful， if you use it④ in a good way.

　　1. 优点：

　　本文采用了“总―分―总”的顺序。小作者首先在首段概述了我们应该学会怎样使用电脑；接下来，小作者用两个自然段从正反两面告诉我们如何健康合理地使用电脑；最后，在文章的结尾处，小作者用一句话总结全文。整篇文章条理清晰，流畅精练。

　　2. 需要修改的地方：

　　①advices改为advice。advice是不可数名词。

　　②Except改为Besides。except意为“除……以外，没有其他任何东西”，beside意为“除……以外，还有别的东西”。

　　③on改为in或去掉。spend...（in） doing sth.意为“花费（时间或金钱）做某事”。

　　④it改为them。代指上文中computers应使用them。

　　3. 评分：

　　按江苏省连云港市中考英语作文满分20分的评分标准，本文修改前可得17分。
