1. Art and aesthetics

Van Gogh:

Mozart is one of the most famous musician at his time. His music is highly evaluated by the rank and fashion. Thus he got a large amount of funds from the businessman and the religious figures. The funding not only promote his material life, but also contribute to his composing. It is foreseeable that he can hardly get such a high social reputation without the appreciation of figures and public at that time.
Picasso:
one of the most celebrated artist in the 20 century. However, the public at his time can hardly understand his cubism which focuses on the inner emotion of the artist instead of the visual world because his art style is so advancing that exceed the aesthetical standard at that time.
One of the most celebrated artists in the 20 century. Cubism, the art genre he created, focuses on the inner depression of the individual due to the suffering of the war. His works are highly evaluated not only due to the aesthetical value but also the historical value on reflecting the negative part of the war.

Beethoven: Beethoven is one of the most celebrated musician in the art history whose works have great value both in the aesthetics and the society. As we all know, he is deaf and dumb, however, instead of giving up his composing career he composed many masterpieces. His works and his sense of never giving up not only provide inspiration and motivation to the society but also encourage the people at that time.

2. Science and scientists
Galileo and Aristotle Aristotle is the tutor of Galileo and the most celebrated physician at that time. However, instead of blindly follow the authority of his teacher, Galileo questioned that the heavier item falls with the same speed as the lighter one which challenge the theory of his teacher that heavier the item is faster it falls. This new theory corrects a long-time misunderstanding of physics which also shows the positive effect of challenging the authority.


Einstein Einstein is one of the most celebrated scientists in the 20 century who focuses on the relative theory and modern physics. However, he was thought to be a fool without any talent on physics in his childhood because he always asked some seemly foolish and strange question in class. instead of encouraging and inspiring him, his teacher just made fun on him. Fortunately, it is his parents that discovered his talent on science and providedhim suitable education and research equipment. Or we may lose a great scientist.
Einstein is one of the most celebrated scientists in the 20 century who focuses on the relative theory and modern physics. However, he was also an expert on violin. He claimed that he can get inspiration from the music and playing violin is the best way to relax himself.

Newton

The Newton physical theory, challenge the authority, however, his physical theory also has the limitation which has been found by Einstein.

Watt James The great inventor in the 18 century whose invention promoted the development of the first industry revolution. He claimed that the most important characteristics of the scientist is the curiosity and interest which can give inspiration and motivation to encourage the scientists focus on the field they studied. His creativity enhances the general welfare of the society; and his invention, the stream engine, release labor from the heavy work and increase the working efficiency.

Mary Curie Discover the new chemical elements called radium. Just likeher claim that the ultimate goal of science is to sever the society and public without regarding the vested profit it can bring to the individual, she then shared her research to the public and the scientists for free.

Crick Crick get the inspiration of the structure of DNA during the dream. His finding largely depends on his imagination.

Maxwell He established the relationship the between the electric field and the magnetic field mainly basing on the conjecture and imagining. Without the accurate experiment, the theory can hardly convince scientists at that time. The experiment results justify his conjecture.
