How does Apple change our lives?

The amazing achievements that Apple has made during these few years are beyond anyone’s anticipation. Apple, the oracular Silicon Valley company that became an icon of personal computing, has risen to its greatest heights in the years since Steven P. Jobs returned to its helm and opened horizons beyond the desktop.

As measured by the value of its stock, Apple shot past Microsoft, the computer software giant, in May 2010 to become the world's most valuable technology company. While it remains a mystery that how a company likes Apple which had been given up for dead only a decade earlier can revive in such a short period of time?

We may find the answers when we look into the Apple Inc. cultures and ideas. Apple is always casting something of a spell on both consumers and investors. The iPod and the iPhone have been major forces in the music and smartphone industries, respectively. The basic reason is that all the Apple products are made consumer-oriented. These gadgets are very attractive-sleek, smallish, neat and, yes, very shiny. They make our lives easy and enjoyable. They cater for the consumers’ needs of carrying light and shiny laptops everywhere.

The second reason I think should be creativity. Jobs was once criticized for his uncommon way of management. In his words, they can never focus too much on the creativity works. So he invested much of the finance into the research department. However, after few years of verification, it turns out that Jobs’ insistence is right. And the creative jobs brings the company endless wealth.

The last but not least, Apple’s focus on genius brings him a great many talented employees. As the company has grown and been led by a series of chief executives, each with his own idea of what Apple should be, some of its original character has arguably been lost, but Apple still has a reputation for fostering individuality and excellence that reliably draws talented people into its employ, especially after Jobs' return. To recognize the best of its employees, Apple created the Apple Fellows program. Apple Fellows are those who have made extraordinary technical or leadership contributions to personal computing while at the company.

With his “consumer first” norm, the creative ideas and the gathering of talented people, Apple will insist on presenting us with the most fantastic gadgets we would never thought of.
