Lesson 31:   A Movie or a Play

【学习目标】

知识目标: theatre, excellent, direct, director; involve, script, costume, background;

be interested in, take care of, the answer to, get to, divide up;

Have you ever seen a movie or a play in a theatre?

I have no background in movie making.

A good script needs to be written.

能力目标:在实际生活中,能用英语谈论“电影”的话题;

学习被动语态表示的意义和构成。

情感目标:通过介绍电影,增进同学之间的了解和友情,并帮助同学找到彼此的共同点,加深沟通。

【重点及难点】

学会电影周边词汇及日常用语。

能够理解被动语态表示的意义,掌握被动语态的结构。

【导学过程】

一、自主预习

【预习指导】

1. 自学教材第31课单词与词组,你可以听录音跟读,根据音标读,或者请教别人读。做到发音标准,弄清词性和汉语意思。

 2. 自学教材第82页内容,仔细读课文至少三遍,弄清课文大意。用横线划出文中的重要句子。

Language Points:

1. direct

【用法】作及物动词,意为指导、导演”,后加名词或代词作宾语。

【举例】Do you know who will direct this new movie? 你知道谁将会导演这部新电影?

用法作形容词,意为“直接的、率直的”,可作定语或表语。

【举例】Danny, we need you direct answer. 丹尼,我们需要你直接的回答。

2. Most of you have seen movies or plays in a theatre, but have you ever been involved in making a movie or a play? 你们大多在影院看过电影或戏剧,但你们参与过制作电影或戏剧吗?

【用法 involve是及物动词,意为“参与、专心于”,而句式involve in doing something 则表示“参与做某事”,如果表示“参与某事”用involve in something 即可。

【举例】Did you involve in making this new plan? 你参与制定这项新计划了吗?

3. A good script needs to be written. 一个好剧本需要被写出来。

【用法】句中的to be written是不定式的被动结构,need 加上不定式的被动结构表示“需要被做”,此时还可用need 加动名词加以替换。

【举例】Your classroom needs to be cleaned. = Your classroom needs cleaning. 你们的教室需要打扫了。

Grammar: 被动语态

() 被动语态是由“助动词be的适当时态形式 +及物动词的过去分词 构成。这里的be有时态的变化,而且只有及物动词有被动语态,不及物动词只有在加上介词或副词之后才可能有被动语态。如:

Many trees are planted to protect the environment.

许多树被种植来保护环境。

His mother is taken care of by him. 

他的妈妈被他照顾。

注意:一般现在时和一般过去时的被动语态中的助动词be既表示时态,又表示语态。如:

History is made by people.

历史是人民创造的。

These cars were made in Shanghai in 2000.

这些车是2000年在上海生产的。

而其他时态中既有时态助动词,也有语态助动词。我们在进行句式转化时应该变化时态助动词。如:

They will build a bridge over the river. →

他们要在河上建一座桥。

A bridge will be built over the river by them.

一座桥将被他们在河上建起。

He is taking care of his mother. →

他正在照看他妈妈。

His mother is being taken care of by him. 

他的妈妈正在被他照顾。

() 动语态的构成
动语态由动词be+及物动词的过去分词构成。人称、数和时态的变化是通过be变化表现出来的。现以teach为例说明被动语态在各种时态中的构成。

() 被动语态的用法
(1)不知道或没有必要说明动作的执行者是谁e.g. Some new computers were stolen last night.

(2)强调动作的承受者,而不强调动作的执行者。e.g. The window was broken by Mike.

歌诀:谁做的动作不知道,

说出谁做的没有必要;

动作承受者需强调,

被动语态运用到。

() 主动语态变被动语态的方法
(1) 把主动语态的宾语变为被动语态的主语。

(2) 把谓语变成被动结构(be+过去分词)
(根据被动语态句子里的主语的人称和数,以及原来主动语态句子中动词的时态来决定be的形式)
(3) 把主动语态中的主语放在介词by之后作宾语,将主格改为宾格。

e.g. All the people laughed at him. He was laughed at by all the people.
