Even though poverty in material is really a trouble, the disadvantage which can influence a person’s life still cannot compare with the influence that the poverty in spirit have. This kind of influence is permanent. All in all, poverty in spirit is the worst disaster in a person's life because only if a person has knowledge can he be called a real man, spiritual poverty can hold back a person's development, and it can influence the next generation.

A person can be called a person because he has his own thought, and he is not lack of knowledge. The most important thing that can separate a real man from savage is knowledge. There are too many lives that a person does not have the time to experience himself, and there are many different worlds that he does not have the time to travel in literal time. However, knowledge can provide such lives and worlds. If a person refuses to gain knowledge from books, he is neither a developed human nor a useful citizen of a democracy.

Depend on the survey of the scientists, it points out that parents' education influence a lot on children’s behavior. If their parents are poor in spirit, the children will probably be ignorant and will not have good jobs in the future. It can also set up a vicious circle, which can even do harm to the whole society. Poverty in spirit has negative effect on a person's life and the reasons are that a real man should have knowledge, a person's development will be hindered, and it can do harm to the next generation. What’s more, some people don’t take it seriously because they just pay attention to their wealth or the other things which they think will make their lives better temporarily. To be honest, nothing is more important than knowledge, and nothing can provide people with the same meaningful thing as knowledge does. As YunPuxiao said, “The meaning of life is to gain knowledge.
