1. General Introduction
I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.
Education background
In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduate study, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester,In 1999, I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test.
At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0 ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graduation Thesis. Research experience and academic activity
When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product. In retrospect, I find myself standing on a solid basis in both theory and experience, which has prepared me for the Ph.D. program. My future research interests include: Network Scheduling Problem, Heuristic Algorithm research (especially in GA and Neural network, Supply chain network research, Hybrid system performance analysis with Petri nets and Data Mining.
2. good morning,my dear teachers,my dear professors.i am very glad to be here for your interview.my name is song yonghao,i am 22 years old .i come from luoyang,a very beautiful aicent city.my undergratuade period will be accomplished in changan university in july ,2004;and now,i am trying my best for obtaining a key to tongji university. generally speaking ,i am a hard working student especially do the thing i am interested in. i will try my best to finish it no matter how difficult it is. when i was sophomore, i found web design very interesting, so i learned it very hard . to weaver a homepage for myself, i stayed with my pesonel computer for half a month.,and i am the first one in my class who own his homepage. forthermore,i am a person with great perserverence. during the days preparing for the first examination,i insist on running every day, no matter what the weather was like.and just owning to this,i could concentrate on my study and succeeded in the end. well ,in my spare time ,i like basketball, tennis and chinese chess. also english is my favorate.i often go to english corner to practise my oral english on every thursday,and write
compositions to improve my witten ability .but i know my english is not good enough ,i will continue studying. ok, that is all,thank you for your attention.
3. I was admitted to the university ANYJOB advertising professional. In the four years in the university, bring me a lot of accumulation and memories. Four years will be gone, in the graduation of time, should be for the four years in the ivory tower study life do an interview self introduces.
In the four years, I in the study are more serious, the result is good, every year can get the school scholarship, in the class have been able to remain at the top five. Especially in professional course, try to do it well with good. Take an active part in all kinds of advertising competition, and won the national college students' advertising art competition third prize. Whether the usual work, or papers, or test, can seriously, and hope to do our best. If say the four years in learning what is your greatest regret, that is, in high school English before my English is good, but into the university after, I to English slight, not spend too much time to learn, which is going to graduate from graduate school haven't pass cet 6.
In social practice, I think of my experience is very rich. I am in an advertising company do practice planning work, although just started what all can't, very hard, very tired, but when I as a fans planners and performer on the stage, this time and communication, when I am writing YiNai ceramic company advertising effectiveness evaluation report for the customer approval, when I saw the planning of the foundation stone laying ceremony, the opening ceremony of the successful implementation, when I design the LOGO by enterprise, when I am on the road show independent of time, I am happy. With my own efforts done one task. In the advertising company internship, let me learn a lot of things can not go to school books, contact with the people from all walks of life customer, at the same time, also work in the printing industry, media, the etiquette service agencies had certain understanding, for later able to be quickly adapted to work laid the foundation.
